Can anyone tell me whether the profiles are saved on the mouse (colour, button settings) or whether I have to install the program on the laptop and PC?

Helpful answer

Yes, the mouse supports 5 profiles.
However, when it comes to colours, only "quick effects" can be saved on the mouse, not "advanced effects".
