Can I also control 4 different lamps with this button (only on/off, i.e. 1 lamp with top right on/off etc.)? Or do only two lamps/groups work?

Yes, that is possible. One or more lamps can be controlled with each "corner". E.g. press = on, press and hold = off.
TIP: For programming the button, the "Hue Essentials" app offers more possibilities than the "Philips hue" app. When setting up scenes, it is the other way round.
