Question about RØDE smartLav+
Can I connect the microphone directly to my laptop from the headphone jack(3,5 mm) ? I used to have a similar mic which was working perfectly with audio programs such as audacity. Anyone tried it? Thank you.
It depends on your laptop and what kind of connection it has. The microphone is “TRRS” and works on my MacBook Pro and I think on most current Macs/iPads, but it doesn’t work on my Dell Latitude 7390 2 in 1 (also doesn’t work on the Dell with my TRS adapter). To be sure I think you’ll need to google to see what kind of input your laptop has but it can be very hard to find the answer.
