Can I connect the U7 Pro XGS directly as an access point to an Internetbox 5 Pro or do I need an additional Unify Switch or Unify Gateway in between? And since the power comes via PoE, I assume I also need a Unify PoE 10G Injector so that I can connect the access point to the 10G WAN port of the Internetbox. Is that correct?

You can connect the U7 Pro XGS directly to an Internet box as long as it offers a suitable PoE++ supply. An additional switch or gateway is not absolutely necessary, but a UniFi Switch could be useful for an optimal configuration and network structure. As the access point requires PoE++, a PoE++ injector or a PoE++-capable switch is required to operate the access point via the 10G WAN port of the Internet box.
