The unit can be paired to an iPad 3 (BT 4.0) in RX mode without difficulty.

Unfortunately, I cannot test the TX mode with BT 4.0, as I do not have any corresponding devices for pairing; only BT 2.1.

I'm not sure if this works, but pierre_kover has already answered the question. I used LogiLink to watch TV. TX mode on Blootooth headphones. Unfortunately the signal strength is quite weak (constant sound interruptions). In the meantime I got the b-tech B-Speech and this transmitter works perfectly. You can have the LogiLink from me. :-)
