Can the videofeed be stored on a laptop over WLAN and can that connection be encrypted? (In switzerland it would be illegal to store the videofeed on the SD in the camera itself)

I use a Synology NAS with Surveillance Station to store the feed. Only events are stored on the SD card, i.e. when a movement activates the recording for n seconds. Otherwise the SD would be full pretty quickly. If the filmed persons are made aware that video surveillance is installed, saving (no matter where) is not illegal. In the case of is this a sticker on the house.
