Can this display be operated with an IPTV box including control? I have not found any information where this device supports HDMI CEC and therefore does not communicate with external devices via HDMI. Can the same apps be downloaded as for Samsung Smart TVs with Tizen OS?

Yes, HDMI-CEC is supported → IPTV box controllable.
No, no typical smart TV apps (Netflix, etc.) - only signage apps.
