Could the iPad Pro replace the laptop, so to speak? I have a MacBook Air that is getting on in years...... now my question is really whether it still needs a laptop or whether it would be enough with a bi i Pad?

Helpful answer

The iPad pro runs the ipadOS operating system and not macOS, which is used for the MacBooks, so from that point of view it remains more of a mobile device. However, practically all common software applications such as Microsoft Office as well as well-functioning graphics applications are now available for ipadOS. In my opinion, for the "average home user", an iPad pro together with a suitable keyboard is definitely a good alternative to a laptop.

I too have switched from the Macbook to the iPad Pro. It's a top all-round device, and nowadays more than just a laptop. Keyboard with trackpad or mouse, Apple pencil, etc make this a top device. I need it as a teacher and at home for general use. Photo and film editing are also great on the iPad. In addition, external devices such as hard drives can be connected and used without any problems. I can really only recommend it.

Best regards

My wife switched from a Windows laptop to this device. She is absolutely thrilled with it, she can do everything with it and it is super-mobile. I.e. she doesn't miss the laptop at all.
