Do I still need a good firing programme for the burner?

If you are using Windows, then there is a built-in burning function directly in the system, but it's not really the real thing.

The question is what you want to burn. If you want to burn audio or MP3 CDs, it is better to use a dedicated burning programme (or a media player with a burning function).

I used CDBurnerXP for some time.
