I have a OnePlus7 and the following USB C jack adapter worked for me. Unfortunately, it was not so well made and is now defective (not robust).
Huawei CM20 (USB C, 3.5mm)

Now I have the adapter from OnePlus which makes a better impression and I think it will also work for the OnePlus 8.
