No, but it needs normal AA batteries, which are available as rechargeable batteries. I use the Sanyo/Panasonic Eneloop, which have a low self-discharge so that the H2n always remains ready for use. By the way, for a better estimation of the remaining capacity, the battery type should be set in the menu item "System". You can select "Alkaline" or "Ni-MH" (rechargeable batteries). A set of AA batteries is supplied.

What is your experience with this recorder? Is ambient noise filtered out well? Are there any problems with audio conversion or timecode when you want to edit videos with it?
