Hi,

This unit is designed to play discs that conform to the Compact Disc (CD) standard.
Dual Discs and some music CDs encoded with copy protection technologies do not conform to the Compact Disc (CD) standard.
Therefore, these discs may not be compatible with this unit.
Do not use the following:
-CDs/DVDs that have a non-standard shape (e.g. card-shaped or heart-shaped).
-CDs/DVDs with labels or stickers attached.
We cannot guarantee compatibility with all CDs.

Yes, the Sony DVP-SR760H can play burnt DVDs. The DVD player supports playback of DVDs and CDs in various formats, including DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-R Dual Layer.
