Good evening :) My notebook Asus Rog Strix G16 2023 has a TYP-C PD (Power Delivery) up to 65 Watt it says... can I use this plug without hesitation or can something break? The actual power supply is a 330Watt HUGE thing... and for school rather not so cool... so I'm looking for something small for the road. Thank you

Helpful answer

isn't the usb-c pd 65w to charge devices? e.g. your smartphone?

if you can really charge your strix with it, it will take longer and i don't know if your battery will like that...

In principle, you can charge your notebook with it.
However, you will not have the full power available during the charging process as if you were using the original 330Watt power supply.
Since you probably don't play games at school, this should be absolutely sufficient.

Hi, I had the same issue and bought this charger.
I now use the 140W USB-C port to charge my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro which came with a bulky 300W power supply. The charger works fine but if you need to game on your laptop use the factory one.

Good morning. This device is also decent sized (approx. 10 x 10 x 4cm) and heavy (300g). You would have to check how much power your computer needs. If it can manage with 65 watts. Maybe just try it out? Maybe it will just charge the battery more slowly.

I doubt that you can charge a gaming notebook with 65 watts. They need at least 180 watts and if your device comes with a 330 watt power supply, then 65 watts is really a drop in the ocean. A gaming notebook might not be the right thing for school either...
