Good morning everyone, I have an exotic problem: I bought this motherboard, matching 3400G and 2x 8GB Ram Hyperx fury 2933Mhz.... If I connect the SSD from the old PC with the x370 board 1700X Ryzen M2. SSD 512gb from Samsung, Windows 10 starts normally, but as soon as I restart, I get the message that no bootable system is found. As soon as I remove the SSD, start the PC without the SSD, install it again and restart, Windows starts again... until the restart and it is gone again. The SSD is displayed in the Bios. Even if I unplug all other drives etc., no bootable system is found again... I still have a 2nd identical SSD with Windows 10 for gaming, this does not have the problems when I install it... Does anyone know this? A reinstallation might help but I don't want to do that as a first solution as many programs and settings would be lost. Merci for your tips

Helpful answer

1. check in the BIOS what is set in the BOOT order and correct this so that the SSD is at the top of position 1.
2. you write that a lot is lost with a new installation? I hope you have a backup of the data, because if the SSD fails, everything would be gone. Buy an external HDD and copy your backups + programs to it. 3.
Reinstall Windows. Then you won't have any old drivers.

Morning Shäq Attack,

thanks for the tip, I have of course already taken this into account. Yes, I did a mirror on a 2.5" Samsung SSD. Funnily enough the mirroring works on the new PC with the x570 board.... but as soon as I copy the data back to the M2 SSD or clone it doesn't work anymore... I don't see any errors or changes in Kill Disk compared to the copy. I have since deleted and formatted the SSD and I have started a fresh install. I suspect that the EFI partition could not be read, for whatever reason on the x370 board it still runs with the clone.... EDP=end of reason
