Question about Intel Core i9-10850K
Hello all, I have just built a new high end PC. I have installed an Intel i9-10850K, I have now made a 3D Mark Custom Run, in which I have only started the CPU test. I got a score of 9 960, while my colleague with the same PC but a different GPU got a score of 13 498. Can someone explain this to me please? Specs: Intel i9-10850K AMD Radeon 6800 CO / (colleague) MSI RTX 3080 ROG Strix 490E Gaming Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Samsung 970 EVO

Many factors can play into this. For the first time, the RTX 3080 is a lot better than the 6800 (about 15-20%). In addition, it is quite possible that you still had some background programs open, these also play into the overall score. Try closing most of the programs in the background and do the 3D mark run again. Also take a look at the thermals, i.e. the temperature of the CPU and the GPU, there may be thermal throttling here.
Hi i9-10850 ger user, have the same CPU, same MBoard, RAM from G-Skill 3000s and a 1080 TI , the whole system homebrew water cooled.
