In the app you can have a view with multiple cameras. You can buy the plan if you don’t want ti use the SD card. I don’t have the plan so I don’t know

Yes, you can see what the camera sees live from a distance. And if you put a memory card in it you can also see the last recordings of the camera (when it moves). You can also control the camera. The subscription is used to record on the cloud and dispense with a card, which is a bit pointless. 
I advise you to order 2 256gb microsd cards from digitec.
