Question about ASUS RT-AX86U AX5700 WiFi 6 Gaming Router
Hello, can anyone tell me how fast the VPN connection is with this router (when connecting to the router via VPN from outside)? I am looking forward to your answers. Samuel

It is definitely worthwhile to throw the Merlin FW on the RT-AX86U v386.3.

The throughput depends mainly on your internet provider - i.e. what upload speed do you have?
I can transfer about 100mbit/s via the VPN connection (i.e. from the "Internet" to the LAN via VPN) - but that is limited by my Internet provider. To the outside, i.e. download via VPN, I get approx. 500mbit/s, which is also limited by my provider... so the maximum practice throughput I can not test - but the at least two lower limits call, hope that helps.
