Ducky One 2 Mini
CH, Cable
Hello Digitec, we received the Ducky One 2 Mini (CH, MX-Speed-Silver) today, but it does not work reliably on the new MacBookPro16', with OS Catalina. The LED's light up wonderfully, but the keyboard selection, so that writing can be done, always flickers back and forth on the settings. Sometimes it suddenly works after a while and gaming is fantastic, but if you turn off the MacBookPro16' or unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, the flickering starts all over again and nothing is possible for about 30 min. Since the MacBookPro16' itself has USB-C, we tried a direct USB-C to USB-C connection cable, but then strangely nothing is recognised at all, not even the LEDs light up. However, the same cable works fine with another device, so it can't be the cable. We therefore had to use the original cable with a connector or with a USB hub to USB-C. We have several computers in the household and have noticed the following: On an older MacBookAir with OS Mojave, the keyboard worked, on an older MacBookPro with OS Mojave it also worked. On an old iMac, the computer crashed every time the keyboard was connected! On the Windows PC, the keyboard also works. Only unfortunately, our son bought this keyboard and needs it to be usable on his fast MacBookPro16'. What could be the reason for the problems? Is it the OS Catalina? Or the changeover to USB-C? It's inexplicable to us why a separate USB-C to USB-C cable doesn't work with the keyboard (it doesn't seem to be able to draw power at all)? The firmware update only seems to work with Windows. Is the keyboard compatible with Mac at all? Official Ducky Support refers to the seller for problems.... If the problem cannot be solved, we will unfortunately have to return the keyboard. We are grateful for any advice.
