That will not work. One solution would be to use an AV receiver, where an HDMI player is then connected, or alternatively a soundbar could be used. I would rather choose a projector that has built-in speakers. That would be easier. Or a short throw projector, as it is easier to connect playback devices because they are in front of you.

This projector would have speakers and a 3.5 mm jack connection for audio, so you could at least do more with that.
