Hello, I bought the SanDisk dual drive Luxe usb key (13084859) to be able to transfer photos from the iPhone or iPad to it. Unfortunately it doesn't work on either of them. When I plugged it in, it told me that "this accessory requires too much power", so it was unusable for this purpose. Does anyone have a reference for a USB flash drive that works or a viable solution?

It needs to be formatted in fat 32 or exfat for it to be interoperable.

Your iPhone can't supply enough power to the device. There are two ways of solving this problem:

(a) use a USB Y-cable, and connect one end to an iPhone charger, which will provide the necessary power. For example the "Delock Y-Cable 2 x USB 2.0 type-A to 1 x USB 2.0 type-A" (item number Digitec 253174)

(b) use a USB hub with a power supply. I've tested the Hama USB Hub (item no. digitec 21958874) which solves the problem.

Note: I've never tried it with a USB stick. It was another device.

Did you select exFAT and Master Boot Record when formatting?
