Question about Synology MR2200ac Set of 3
Hello, I would like to replace my old Netgear R7000 (configured as an AP). I use a pfSense firewall (DHCP) as router, which is connected to a UPC modem. Can I connect 1 MR2200 as AP (LAN) to the router and use the other 2 as AP (WLAN-MESH) in other rooms or would I need a RT2600ac for this?

You can connect an MR2200 via LAN to the PFSense and use it to operate the WLAN-MESH points. Details on the Internet. The performance of the RT2600ac is greater and the area of the flat (see product description on the Internet) determines whether the MR2200 is sufficient. In my case, an RT2600ac was necessary (3 storeys, with a lot of concrete and metal railings/stairs, 165 m2).
