With a desktop PC, plug in both monitors (HDMI and/or display port) and configure 2 monitors in the settings. With a notebook, I recommend using a docking station.
Hi, on my Mac mini I've connected an HDMI 1.4 screen and a Displayport 1.2 screen. It works really well.
