Hello Is it possible to upgrade the Edifier for home cinema? I mean rear speakers for more Dolby Atmos effect. And are there suitable subwoofers? Thank you
Not as far as I know. I have connected the speakers to my PC via an HDMI splitter and the sound is perfect for me. I can hardly hear any difference compared to my >15 kg 4-way speakers. The perceived frequency response is even better here. Considering their size and price, these speakers really do an amazing job. Even the surround sound works. Of course, this depends on the film being streamed.
Hello Since the S2000MKlll are really active speakers and not passive speaker terminals, it will be relatively difficult to integrate them into a home cinema system. I see them more as computer speakers or possibly also for Bluetooth turntables, just everything in the so-called entry-level class. They also have a subwoofer, but....na yes! As a home cinema system, for example, I have the Sony HT-A9 with the SA-SW5 subwoofer and the Sony XR-65A80L TV. Without a TV for CHF 1780, it can keep up with far more expensive systems! But even without a subwoofer and Sony TV, it's highly recommended. Yes, from 5,000 francs (no upper limit) there's certainly better, but most people just can't afford that! I just don't think that a set of speakers thrown together with a cheap receiver is "fox nor hare" and you won't enjoy it for long. Greetings hw
