I think I can help with that.
I've been an M1 MacBook user for a month now and switched from a SurfaceBook3 in the best 13 inch variant, so I've experienced some of the best that Windows Ultrabooks (insofar as the relatively heavy SurfaceBook can be described as such) have to offer, but I'm therefore more rather than less enthusiastic about my new laptop. The positive things about the switch are the battery life (since the switch I've stopped leaving the house with the charging cable, sometimes the battery lasts over 2 days of school with occasional gaming), apps open super fast, and the trackpad is a godsend, and the speakers are miles ahead of the competition in this price range. The only downside is that many games are not available for MacOS and can no longer be emulated, and this is also the case with some other niche software, but most of it is available now. As long as all your software is also Appleready, I warmly recommend the switch, I was very sceptical at the beginning, but I haven't regretted it for a second.

Unfortunately, we do not have any real empirical data on this. We have forwarded the question to our community and hope that a user can provide input.
