How can I see if I order the new version of the controller with the better battery life (according to Sony 12 hours)?

On the back of the PS5 controller, in addition to various details and symbols, you will also find the serial number. This is clearly labelled as "FCC ID" and indicates which version of the controller it is. If the combination of numbers and letters ends with a 1, it is still a copy of the older production series. If there is a capital A at the end, you can assume it is an improved model.

Sony has never officially announced anything, and there is currently no news about the Dualsense V2.
