The battery should last about half a year (6 months) until it needs to be recharged. By the way, you can also charge it using a solar panel. The manufacturer gave us the following information about charging:
- It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the Essential camera with a power supply unit with a voltage of 5 V and more than 0.5 A. With a solar panel it takes about half an hour.
- With a solar panel it takes about 10 to 12 hours in good sunlight - remember that the solar panel should be used to keep the battery charged, but it may not provide a full charge if there are not good weather conditions or the solar panel is mounted in the shade.
