Huh? Why does Digitec write 1920x1080 pixel resolution but at the same time Native 4k technology? I just don't understand.

As with the larger Epson EH-TW7100, Epson uses the smaller 0.61" CineFine LCD chips in the EH-TW7000, which realise a native Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. Using the Epson UHD Pro Shift process, the image is projected at lightning speed so that a full 4.5 million pixels can be shown on the screen instead of 2.1 million. That's not 8 million pixels like a native 4K resolution, but it has two advantages: The Epson TW7000 is compatible with 4K streams, 4K games and UltraHD Blu-Ray including HDR10 such as HLG (Hybrid Log)

The second advantage is much more important, as an old LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) disadvantage called the "fly screen effect" is finally a thing of the past with today's Epson 4K Shift process. The 4K Pro UHD scaling can be switched on in the menu for classic Full HD Blu-Ray, TV programmes or streaming and is automatically activated for 4K (3840 x 2160) content playback.

We are delighted with the projector. Quiet and powerful. You can even watch a film in daylight.
PS: A good screen is half the battle. It amplifies the image, so to speak. We have one with a motor...

Happy holidays at the cinema!

The epson EH-TW7000 does not have a native 4K resolution. Instead, it uses Epson's 4K PRO-UHD technology, which enables a 4K image display by means of pixel shifting. Nevertheless, the picture looks very detailed and is perfect for home cinema of 4K content.

is not a real 4K resolution - BUT - is a very good robust device, we are very satisfied with it and fulfils the purpose very well (projector for club purposes in the clubhouse)
