I already have the V2 version (Zyxel GS-108B v2) with 8 ports in use and am very satisfied. However, I need a few more ports. Can I connect my switch "in series" with the V3 (Zyxel GS-108B v3) to get a net of 15 ports? Or should I switch straight to a Zyxel GS1100-16 with 16 ports?

It is no problem to connect several switches in series. The performance does not suffer measurably. Just be careful when wiring and only use 1 cable to connect the two switches with each other, otherwise a loop will occur.

I have the Zyxel GS-105B v2 and have also thought about series connection. But that means I'd better switch to the bigger one. I would therefore be interested in the 108B v2, provided it is as good as new and the price is right.

Hello, I would change to the 16-port switch because a series connection of switches is never good and the performance is also better with the 16-port switch.
