I am looking for a POE switch for this model. It seems quite difficult to find something suitable as Unifi has done a brilliant job here with proprietary POE. *Irony*. Is there an affordable POE switch for these access points?

Well, I use netgear cheap POE switches with 8 port unmanaged for 2 locations in the building for the unifis....¨ there.
Sooo proprietary is that of Unifi then in the case nööd ;)

Proprietary in what way?
According to the data sheet, the device works with PoE 802.3af.
This should work with any switch that supports this standard.

And what does affordable mean for you? It's a broad spectrum ;-)
Finally, how many ports? Managed/Unmanaged?
