I am new to the UniFi environment. I have had the dream machine pro for a few days. Is the advantage of Cloud Key Plus that I don't have to install a software controller on a PC/Mac? Is the backup of the configuration and the logs then stored on the internal HDD?

The Cloudkey / Gen 2 / Gen 2 Plus / replaces the software-based controller solution for Mac or PC. The Dreammachine combines the whole thing with the Security GatewaY and an 8-port switch.
