Question about DJI Phantom
I asked Swiss about the possibility of carrying a drone incl. battery in my hand luggage. battery in hand luggage. Unfortunately, I got a negative answer. The drone must be checked in as baggage. Are there any other experiences?

I have flown twice with the Phantom 4, including 2 batteries and propeller, from Zurich to Düsseldorf with Airberlin. So far I have had no problems at the security check. However, this was about a year ago. Unfortunately, I don't know what the situation is like now. I'm flying again this weekend and will call Airberlin and ask.

Yes, every baggage check in the world will tell you 90% of the time that you can't take it as hand luggage, firstly because of the battery which has been making a huge media fuss lately and generally because of the drone (sharp propellers etc.) even if it is packed in a hard case.
