I bought the product because I still had a WD Blue, 500 GB, M.2 2280 lying around at home. Unfortunately, the hard drive is not recognised by any device (tried different devices, different cables and different connections). Have I misunderstood something or is the enclosure not compatible with my hard drive? Thanks for your help!

Nvme should not be a problem. Is your 500gb m.2 possibly employed with sata prot?

That should work. I assume you have already checked this, but are you 100% sure that you have connected a data transfer cable in your tests and not just a cable that can be used exclusively for charging? They look the same, but of course that wouldn't work.
