I bought this watch and am totally disappointed with it. Had an Apple Watch for years before that. Apart from the battery, I haven't noticed anything more positive yet. On the contrary. I'm totally annoyed by the complicated menu navigation and the display. It's like it's 2010 and the first smartwatch is coming out. The display appears almost black and white and is totally dark and colourless despite high settings. Am I doing something wrong somewhere? I've already tried everything. Can anyone help me?
At best, you should have gone for one of the new ones with an OLED display. Of course, the display can't keep up with a smartwatch with a beautiful display, it's a sports watch that can keep you going on a multi-day tour including GPS or only needs to be plugged in once a month, even if you go jogging twice a week.
The display is designed to minimise energy consumption. It is a sports watch with smartwatch functions, the Apple Watch is a smartwatch with. It also has weaknesses that would be unacceptable for many Garmin wearers. It's a question of what you want.
What you could try is to set the automatic backlight. Then the display lights up like the Apple Watch every time you look at it. But you will never have a Retina or OLED feeling.
