Question about Philips 346E2CUAE/00
I can't get the USB hub to work. A DELL laptop is connected via the USB-C cable supplied and this is also recognised and charged. The monitor works. Only the USB ports on the monitor do not recognise any peripherals (USB keyboard and mouse). Only the charging function of the USB port with the upstream function works and charges the mobile phone. I have already rebooted several times and installed the monitor drivers from the CD supplied. Do I need to install anything else and/or activate the USB ports somehow? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated! Greetings, Patrick

Hello, I came across this page because I have the same problem. I have just solved it with Philips Germany on the phone. The UPLINK cable (square connector on the HUB) must be connected to "a" computer. That's right, then it works. It should also work via USB-C, but you may have to set something in the OSD menu that causes the notebook to forward the data via USB-C instead of UPLINK. But then it should work. I won't try that out, but the UPLINK cable alone was a hurdle. Philips says that it works with USB-C in any case.
Here too, no more hub, no more idea.
If so many people are having this problem, I'm ruling out the possibility that my USB hub is "broken", so there must be another solution. Have any of you used a "higher quality" USB-C cable? Maybe a Thunderbolt 3? Maybe the supplied USB-C cable is not sufficient, I think I read somewhere that this can be the case... Does anyone have a "better" USB-C cable to try???

I also have the same problem with my Lenovo Thinkpad.
Unfortunately I have the same problem, mouse/keyboard is not recognised via USB ports. I use a MacBook Air.
The problem seems to have been solved. I ordered this monitor and got one without the USB-B 3.0 port. With this model, everything works as desired via USB-C.

Finding:
- BigSur 11.2.2 OS update seems to address some USB-C issues with monitors.
- In Philipps Monitor Menu: USB Settings -> USB Standby Mode must be On according to Philipps instructions. Default setting is Off to comply with current values.

It's the same for me. I use HP Elitebook and Asus Zenbook. Same problem with both.
