I got this eGPU yesterday in combination with a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070S Gaming OC. But my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 extreme 2nd gen keeps restarting when I connect the eGPU before powering it on. BIOS, firmware and drivers are up to date. What could be the reason for this?

It could be that BitLocker is activated in Windows. Unfortunately, the eGPU is used for Bitlocker identification. To see this, go to the Windows key and type "Manage Bitlocker". If you disable Bitlocker, the computer should boot.
To try this, you can also just say Ignore Bitlocker at next reboot (I think).

Another possibility is to turn off Thunderbird Extension Support in the bios.
I think playing with the parameters makes sense.
