Question about Pioneer VSX-LX305
I have a general question about AV-Receiver. For my setup at home, i want to: - Play sounds (mostly spotify) from my phone without having a cable connected - Connect my speakers to such a system (they are not that big) - (nice to have) Being able to play sound from my TV on my speakers So far i have a small Radio that fulfills these needs (where i connect the speakers and then play various inputs such as from my phone or from the TV via AUX-input or cinch) but needing to connect my phone with a usb cable sucks. Should i just go for a AV-receiver or is there another option? Thanks in advance
This AV should meet your needs, which are only a very small % of the possibilities of this AV. I have the impression that this equipment is oversized in relation to your needs (and therefore the price too). A stereo amp with integrated BT should probably do the trick too, at a much more reasonable cost. Don't forget, too, that with this type of amp comes a remote control that you have to use to select the source and volume .... that comes with a certain complexity if it's for "simple" use ....

An AV reciver takes up a relatively large amount of space. And the operation and handling is relatively complex and sometimes takes some getting used to.
You write that you want to connect your speakers. What kind of speakers are they? Actively powered speakers and loudspeakers would make little sense on an AV reciver. If you don't want a loud cinema feeling at home, but just want to listen to some Spotify, a cheap soundbar with Bluetooth might do the trick.
If the TV is already sufficient as a speaker, you could also consider a Chromecast. If your TV already supports Chromecast (Android TV or Samsung Tizen), you can play Spotify directly via the TV (controlled from your smartphone)

- I use Spotify from my "wireless" phone, which drives the Spotify app on the amp. It works fine.
- Even small speakers will work well with this amp.
- With an hdmi cable connected to the hdmi "arc" on the TV, the sound from the TV will be output to the amp.
I think an AV amp is a wise choice.

Maybe the Wiim Amp (for passive speakers) or Wiim Pro (for active speakers) might be an option for you.
