I have a QNAP NAS with 4 old WD red (3TB, WD30EFRX) with CMR technology that are no longer available. I now need to replace one. Can I use a WD red plus 2021 (4TB) as a replacement without compatibility problems?

did it work with the 4 TB? Was a CMR or SMR taken with the old discs?
I am facing the same problem

In principle it should work, but with the 4 TB only 3 TB would be usable in RAID mode.
