I have had this PSU in my system for almost 2 years now. For about a month now, however, it blows the fuse on average about every 5th time I press the switch on the PSU. This happens very irregularly. Is this due to the PSU or could it be caused by something else? I haven't really found anything useful on the internet so far.

Difficult to say. I think the load is too big for your fuse. Try connecting another device to the same circuit when your PC is running. For example, a hoover or something else that draws a lot of current. If the load is too high, you should blow a fuse every time you switch on the hoover.
If not, it could be that you have installed a FILS, which in turn would indicate that your PSU is defective or has a leakage current >30mA. However, it is also possible that your PSU has a leakage current <30mA and another device in your circuit also has a leakage current <30mA, but added together the devices may then have a leakage current >30mA, which triggers the FILS.
Furthermore, it could be that you have external lighting on your circuit that sporadically has a leakage current >30mA due to moisture and thus triggers the FILS.

I hope I was able to help.
