I have heard that there are problems with this AV reciever if you only use a 2.0 system. Has anyone had any experience of this? (Background: I don't have a surround system at the moment, but I plan to buy one in my new flat in 2025).

Music in stereo sounds great with this amplifier, it even gets more out of my speakers than my previous stereo-only amplifier. However, a centre speaker is definitely necessary for films.
