I have mounted the lens on my A6400 and set the distortion correction to "Auto". However, I always get the message *the lens is not attached correctly or is not supported. Can anyone help me with this?

Does the message always appear or only when the distortion correction is set to Auto? If it always appears, the lens is defective. I have never seen this message with this lens. I would send it back. Always assuming that the lens is mounted correctly and the contacts are clean.
