I have ordered this power supply from a Swiss store to my home in Zurich and yet I received it with an European power plug (Type E). So I had to use adapter to connect it. How and why this happen?

It's a mustake from Digitec. Contact the support and request the correct power cord. The solution with an Adapter is not the best way.

Digitec is obliged to supply electrical devices with a Swiss plug. If the device comes with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected a suitable adapter should be supplied.
