I have the Logitech z906 surround sound system. AV receiver is my subwoofer Does LPCM 5.1 HDMI -> Extractor -> HDMI OUT to TV -> 3 Cinch Analogue 3.5mm -> Subwoofer -> Speakers work?

that's how I use the extractor and it works for me:

HDMI device (in my case NVIDIA Shield TV) -> Extractor -> HDMI OUT to TV -> 3 Cinch Analog 3.5mm to Logitech 5.1 Surround system (woofer + speaker).

I see nothing that speaks against the use, as you have indicated.
