I only achieve 300MB/s read/write speed on my Macbook Air, M1 2020 via Usb-c. (Practically the same speed as a T5...). Does anyone know why I can't reach 1000MB/s?

1. is the hard drive formatted with Exfatt? 2. is a fast data cable, preferably Thunderbold, connected?
