Question about Dell S2721DS

I own a MacBook Air 2013 (8gb RAM) => https://support.apple.com/kb/SP678?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US I would like to know if I can get good image quality at full resolution (2560x1440) if I connect this Dell screen to my MacBook Air 2013? Or would I be better off choosing a screen with a lower resolution (1920x1080)?

I use the screen with a Windows PC, so my answer may only be partially helpful. The screen works at full resolution on my PC and I assume it should do the same on the MacBook.
