I use an AP with an outdoor housing from Zyxel. Can I simply use the injector to supply the AP with power via PWR+DATA OUT? The AP itself is in smart mesh mode and acts as a repeater. I think it works, but I'm not entirely sure ;)

if i understand you correctly, you still want to use WiFi as a data interface, but use the Ethernet port for the power supply via PoE. this may or may not work. i know of devices that use the Ethernet interface as the "preferred route" if it is "up", even if they cannot obtain an IP address via it. However, with most devices you can change this in the config, even if it is sometimes hidden. but I don't know how your Zyxel AP behaves. I think only trial and error will help.

I have a Zyxel NWA210ax running on it without any problems. Data and power only via LAN cable.
