I want to get 4 NZXT Aer RGB 2 140mm and one NZXT Kraken X63 RGB. Do I need the NZXT RGB & Fan Controller, I have the ASUS ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming motherboard.

You know, buy four of them? I bought the set of two, which already illuminates quite a lot. But it depends on the other parts.
Especially if you have four of them, it is advisable to buy the controller as well, because you can connect several rgb to one header.
Otherwise it will be tight at the mainboard with all the connections.
