I want to use the lens on my Canon 5d Mark IV, but I always have a black border around the image. Can I somehow get rid of it or is the lens not suitable for full-frame?

The black border is normal with this combination because the lens is made for cameras with an APS-C/DX sensor. This is smaller than the full-frame sensor of the 5D IV. That's why APS-C lenses can be built more cheaply.

Respect, by the way, to a 5D IV for 2'500.- to use an I-can-do-anything-but-really-good lens for 400.-.
