I wanted to use the device as an external memory, but when I connect it via USB cable, nothing happens. Is this not intended? Do I have to connect it to the PC via an Ethernet cable?

Helpful answer

The My Cloud EX2 Ultra is a NAS device that is mainly connected to a network via an Ethernet cable. It has USB ports, but these are not intended for direct connection to a PC for data transfer. Instead, the data is usually transferred via the network. If you want to transfer data from a USB device to the NAS, you can connect the device to the NAS and manage the data via the My Cloud Dashboard, but the primary connection is via Ethernet.
