I'm a bit on the fence but I'm sure someone can help me. Can I use the switch to control my Hue lamps as with the supplied wireless switch or do I need the hue bridge with this model? In other words, can I only operate the switch via the app?

Helpful answer

You still need the Bridge. The Feller switch is an accessory and appears as a Friends of Hue switch. The advantage is that it doesn't need a battery, but pressing is relatively strict because it generates power for a short radio signal.
