It will definitely charge faster than with the included 18 watt power adapter. You can pump up to 30 watts into your iPad with Power Delivery, and this charger will do that. Whether it's recommended or not depends. Personally, I'm not a fan of fast charging, because it makes the device a lot warmer, and it has an impact on battery longevity.
In short: It charges much faster than the original power supply, but I would charge the iPad "slowly", e.g. via one of the USB-A ports on the Aukey Charger, as long as you are not pressed for time.
